Summary

The Attendance & Leave Coordinator acts as a liaison between Human Capital Management (HCM), Workforce Management, and Operational leadership to ensure compliance with company policies and state and federal laws, are being consistently applied around attendance and any leave of absence time. The role is responsible for building and maintaining reports, trends, analysis, and records around leaves of absence (LOA) and attendance to support Operational leaders.

Essential Responsibilities/Accountabilities

• Provides insight and data to operational leadership regarding employee attendance and LOA. Revises and implements office procedures to assure accurate and timely employee attendance tracking and reporting activity.

• Manages appropriate attendance database(s) and central location for leave information, responsible for entering and revising data, generates information and reports as requested according to established timelines. Assists in retrieving appropriate data as required.

• Syncs information with company holidays, leave programs and resources, generating payroll ready information and preventing non-compliance.

• Determines patterns and trends in attendance and leave abuse that would benefit a leader working with HCM to assess the need for management intervention or other resources.

• Verifies adherence to corporate and departmental attendance policies for call ins, leave earlies and tardiness.

• Maintains current and accurate knowledge on company leave programs and attendance policies along with applicable state and federal guidelines and laws.

• Makes recommendations to leadership on any trends and analysis for changes to corporate and/or departmental policy or practice.

• Ensures guidelines around steps of performance management in relation to time off, leave and attendance are applied consistently.

• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive and private information.

• Maintains high regard for member privacy in accordance with the corporate privacy policies and procedures.

• Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.

• Performs other functions as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field with a minimum of two years of Employee Relations or HCM environment. In lieu of degree, minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience in Operations, Employee Relations or HCM environment.

• Proficient Microsoft office experience required. PowerBi experience preferred.

• Active HRCI or SPHR preferred.

• Requires strong record-keeping, organization, and data management.

• Requires knowledge of technical aspects of modern employee attendance and leave monitoring and reporting.

• Able to gather necessary information and perform analysis on this data. Able to analyze information and present results clearly to all levels of management.

• Demonstrate the ability to analyze and identify root causes of business and/or workflow problems, determine innovative sources for solutions and opportunities, and effectively communicate recommendations to leadership.

• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with different levels in the organization using sensitive and confidential personal information.

• Knowledge of state and federal laws regulating leaves, attendance, and sick time.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to complete work in a traditional office environment under fluorescent lighting.

• Ability to meet minimum performance metrics.

• Ability to orally communicate.

• Must be able to function while sitting at a desk viewing a computer and using a keyboard and mouse for 3 or more hours at a time.

• Must be able to travel across the enterprise.

• Ability to work in a home office for continuous periods of time for business continuity.
