Auto Claims Adjuster II

Description

Reporting to the Auto Claims Manager, the Auto Claims Adjuster II Total Loss is a critical member of our claims team. This role is responsible for confirming coverage and liability, as well as, reviewing appraisal and inspection photographs. Additionally, this role will negotiate settlements while adhering to company best claim practices and State compliance standards, while delivering Distinctive customer service to our educators.

Responsibilities

• Verify coverage, investigate liability and/or scope of damage.
• Evaluate the claims to determine claim value, negotiate settlement and move to settle claims while adhering to company best claim practices.
• Proficiency with/and ability to understand and follow regulations for State jurisdictions.
• Provide transparent and timely communication to all involved parties.
• Investigate accidents involving multiple vehicles.
• Advanced claims knowledge allows individual to manage own claims inventory while working independently and making appropriate decisions.
• Demonstrate leadership and conflict resolution skills.
• Display attention to detail and ownership of the claims experience, driving frictionless service.

Requirements

• S diploma or GED equivalent, required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of claims experience, required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Obtain and maintain state mandated adjusters licenses.

Work location is flexible if approved by the Company except that the position may not be performed remotely from NYC
