General Summary of PositionThe Automation Developer works with IT and healthcare experts to create innovative automated solutions that streamline healthcare delivery. Uses Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools and techniques to design, build, test, and maintain automations, and explores integrating new technologies such as AI and ML. Collaborates with business analysts and end users to understand processes and identifies the right opportunities for automation. Plays a key role in growing a community of developers embedded in the organization by sharing technical expertise and developing scalable and reusable components.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, tests, documents, deploys, and maintains efficient and reliable automations.
  • Engages with customers to understand their work and where they see improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborates with analysts and stakeholders to evaluate the feasibility and impact of automation.
  • Develops and maintains automation frameworks and infrastructure, ensuring that solutions are efficient, reliable, and cost-effective.
  • Develops and executes test plans to ensure that automation solutions meet functional and performance requirements.
  • Continuously monitors and improves automation solutions, identifying opportunities for optimization, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Stays up-to-date on emerging automation technologies and trends, evaluating their potential use in healthcare automation and making recommendations for future development.
  • Provides training and support to end-users, ensuring that they are comfortable using automation tools and technologies.
  • Participates in project planning and implementation, including estimating effort and providing regular status updates.
  • Minimum Qualifications

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or other technical field required

    Experience

    • 3-4 years Building and deploying automation using software platforms, including UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Power Automate or similar. required
    • Experience developing automations within healthcare preferred
    • experience with Microsoft's Power Platform preferred

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Strong understanding of software development processes and principles, and their application to RPA development Knowledge of software testing methodologies and experience with testing automation frameworks.Strong programming skills in one or more languages, such as Python, Java, or C# preferred.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and troubleshoot complex technical issues.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently as needed.Ability to think creatively and innovatively to develop new solutions to complex problems.
