About the Business:

The Hosting Services Americas team has several missions. We handle the technical onboarding and integration of Mergers & Acquisitions without pause in customer services. We also participate in the technical portion of building business cases in answer to Requests for Proposals (RFP) received from potential customers. Our work includes identifying profitable, existing, hosting solutions and adding them to the overall portfolio of Amadeus customer offerings. Then we take on the grow and run tasks responsibilities for each platform we gain or expand.

Summary of the role:

Interns can learn all required skills for their future jobs by performing real work duties in the Hosting Services Americas team.

In this role the Intern will:

  • Improve the ease of creating Change, Incident and Problem tickets for the "Smoothie" compliance project.
  • Build a framework extendable for use by your teammates.
  • Perform routine and clearly defined tasks following specific instructions or under close supervision
  • Identify the problem and all relevant issues in straightforward situations, assesses each using standard procedures and makes sound routine and learned decisions to take action.

The Ideal candidate will:

  • Have scripting knowledge in PowerShell, Python, Perl, shell, and/or Yaml (one or more acceptable including languages beyond this list).
  • Have a base knowledge of server/application vulnerabilities and typical remediation
  • Have a base knowledge of Azure fundamentals (other cloud concepts and implementations acceptable i.e. AWS)
  • Have a base knowledge of Systems and service platform engineering fundamentals (i.e. how networks, applications, operating systems, data stores, etcwork together to provide a customer service)
  • Perform office duties as necessary.
  • Assist and learns from other professionals.
  • Meet with other groups of the same organization to collaborate.
  • Create a variety of reports.
  • Have good communication skills and can work under pressure.
  • Have high attention to details.
  • Have the ability to act in a confidential manner.
  • Have strong Teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Be Highly organized and methodical.
