AVP, Strategy & Analysis - Hybrid / Remote
Job Description
ULTRA MOBILE is seeking a talented AVP, Strategy & Analysis to join the Finance & Strategy Team! Individual reports to SVP, Strategic Finance and Analysis. Role is hybrid and/or remote within the United States.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Your usual day of awesomeness includes:
- Partner with Brand, Sales, & Product to develop product and pricing strategy.
- Develop, maintain, and provide adhoc analysis on customer lifetime value models.
- Identify opportunities to deliver growth and/or improve profit margins.
- Create financial models and perform complex scenario analysis for large projects that span multiple businesses.
- Develop forecasts, models, and tools to work with Sales and Marketing to develop and enact competitive pricing strategies, evaluate promotions, and develop Go To Market strategy.
- Support executive and operating teams with ad hoc requests for data views and analysis to answer pressing business questions and support large strategic initiatives.
- Establish and develop cadence around a KPI reporting understanding not only “what”, but also “why” and “so what” to support driving profitable growth of our business.
WHAT YOU BRING
- A degree in Finance or Economics, preferably an MBA.
- Minimum 15+ years of related experience in financial and operational analysis, reporting and process leadership with demonstrated history of driving businesses to improve performance.
- At least 7.5 years with direct supervisory experience with strong team building and people development skills.
- Must have experience with P&L management and valuation models including DCF.
- Preferably experience in telecom or SAAS.
- Any combination of education and experience.
- Strong proficiency in Excel with experience building complex models with experience in Alteryx and or Python.
- Outstanding analytical skills: spot trends within the data to provide actionable insights to drive growth. Commercial and intellectual curiosity is an essential component.
- Strong and confident communicator: essential to have credibility within a dynamic, challenging environment and in the context of providing outstanding business partnering support.
- Team player with the ability to work cross-functionally and build partnerships with the ability to strike the right balance between support and challenge. A successful candidate will be expected to provide an appropriate level of healthy tension to challenge the status quo and to give an alternate and sometimes contrarian perspective.
- Strong attention to detail is essential but must be able to zoom in or out, based on targeted audience and availability of information.
- Ability to work in a matrixed environment serving the needs of multiple customers while identifying and aligning common needs under the same overarching goals.
- Flexibility and adaptability to attend to most pressing needs while keeping all deliverables running.
- Mentor, lead, and develop a team.

In support of the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the range of starting pay for this role is $210,000 - $275,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, certifications, responsibility, and geographic location. We also offer a variety of benefits including health, disability insurance, 401 (k), flexible spending accounts, EAP, education reimbursement, parental leave, unlimited vacation, bonuses, incentive stock options and company paid holidays.
