AWS Infrastructure Architect

STR is seeking a motivated AWS Infrastructure Architect to join our growing Security and IT team at our Headquarters in Woburn, MA. The AWS Architect will help to set standards for security, automation, and migration of both infrastructure and programs into the AWS GovCloud environment. These standards will also be used to configure our Microsoft Azure environment.

Duties will include:

• Create and maintain secure AWS GovCloud accounts
  
• Use Terraform and other automation tools to streamline cloud environment
• Support engineering departments in hybrid onsite and cloud environments
• Stay current with AWS technologies and specifically GovCloud
• Update documentation as needed
• Continually evaluate and propose update to security environment in cloud
• As part of Infrastructure I.T. Team, support other onsite infrastructure

Required Skills and Experience:

• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• 5 years of experience working in infrastructure environments with 3 of those years of experience in AWS

• Associate AWS Solution Architect certification (or higher)

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools

• Knowledge of security standards such as FedRAMP.

• Experience with AWS GovCloud

• Automation tools such as Terraform, AWS CLI, Ansible

• CloudTrail and CloudWatch

• EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Transit Gateway

• Ability to develop and update documentation

• Experience with application migration to cloud technologies

• Good understanding of all security features and tools that AWS provides

• Strong communication skills

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Docker, Kubernetes, EKS
• Experience in hybrid cloud infrastructure between on-prem and cloud
• Multi-factor, single sign-on
• Linux and or Windows Operating Systems experience
• Understanding of general networking concepts
