Azure Marketplace Business Development Director
Job Description
The Azure Marketplace Business Development Director is responsible for accelerating our partners transformation to the Azure Marketplace, and drive strong partner preference on Microsoft's platform versus our competition. This senior leader is accountable for all ISV Partners Revenue, Co-Sell, Customer Acquisition, Consumption and Usage contribution to Microsoft in the Area/Subsidiary and the overall ISV Partners satisfaction and success. He or she is responsible for partner portfolio optimization for the area/subsidiary and for recruit strategy and execution for strategic Partners.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities
- Leads the creation of a strategic marketplace vision rooted to the partners impact and potential across segments
- Demonstrates an expert understanding of the partners business and conveys the value of partnering with Microsoft based on the business opportunity and possible competition.
- Develop a strategic vision for Azure marketplace growth in LATAM
- Thinks strategically about partner, customer, business, product, and technical challenges, with the skill set to drive sales and biz dev execution
- Builds engagement and execution frameworks to drive biz outcomes
- Defines and develops business plans for ISV solution recruitment, revenue and GTM goals
- Designs local adoption campaigns and programs
- Owns critical aspects of the Azure marketplace business performance, including KPIs
- Co-owns revenue generation metrics
- Owns portfolio of projects, engagements, and lead medium-to-high complexity strategic initiatives
- Implements and drive LATAM Azure marketplace vision
- Leads projects, engagements, and low-to-medium complexity strategic initiatives
- Drives programs and projects to drive marketplace adoption and growth as well as to understand ISV cloud market holistically
- Identifies specific partner, customer and business segments as well as industry verticals to approach with a joint value proposition for using Azure via marketplace
- Works with new ISVs to educate them on the value prop of Azure marketplace as a new cloud channel and help them align business and technical requirements
- Programmatically manages marketplace execution motions

- Work with Microsoft Corp and local stakeholders such to assure max alignment and impact
- Establishes and grow business and technical relationships, and manage interactions with these partners including on-boarding, business alignment, GTM approvals, etc.
- Contributes to projects, engagements and strategic initiatives

- Embody our culture and values
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Operations, Computer Science or a related field AND 9+ year(s) in depth knowledge of e-commerce and online marketplaces, cloud computing technology or utility pricing models, demonstrated ability to engage and influence ISV product management, business decision makers and C-level executives, business development, sales, partner management, program management, licensing experience, partner channel development in the technology industry or related experience.
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Business Science, or an advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) or a related field, in depth knowledge of Cloud ERP, Financial Management, or Financial Planning and Analysis solutions, c onsistently exceeds quota and key performance metrics, prior experience in IT or Management Consulting firms defining and delivering projects, experience with varying software licensing models AND 10+ year(s) in depth knowledge of e-commerce and online marketplaces, cloud computing technology or utility pricing models, business development, sales, partner management, program management, licensing experience, partner channel development in the technology industry or related experience.
