About the Job:

As a member of the Capco Technology Delivery Team, you’ll bring practical knowledge of agile development methodologies and engineering best practices. As a Java Backend Developer, you’ll use your experience and skills to contribute to the quality and implementation of our software products for our customers.

What You’ll Get to Do:

• Perform hands-on Development, adoption of modern software engineering & delivery practices
• Work closely with the team to understand needs around client stakeholder management
• Demonstrate a passion for learning and a willingness to adopt new technologies
• Contribute to a culture of innovation, ideas, and continuous improvement, along with a great attitude, solid communication skills, willingness to learn and collaborate
• Develop and maintain Python applications in various environments
• Assist in the development of technical requirements for Agile development teams

What You’ll Bring with You:

• 5+ years experience in writing and supporting backend Python code - including using Celery workers
• Linking python to other applications (APIs)
• NLP
• Database experience (SQL) - experience in SQL and troubleshooting in PostgreSQL
• ML/AI
• Scripting/Unix experience is a must.
• Modelling experience with Pandas/other libraries (for analysis)
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS, Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools
• Experience working on production use of Flask
• Experience operating in Linux environments (RHEL)
• Experience operating in containers
• Experience working with Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK (elasticsearch-logstash-kibana) stack – highly desirable
