The opportunity

We’re hiring our first Business Development Representative (BDR) Manager! Managing a Business Development team is arguably one of the most critical roles in the company. You’re the glue between marketing and sales; your team is responsible for carrying the baton from marketing leads to sales opportunities.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to build the BDR team from scratch, construct new creative outbounding strategies, and optimize execution frameworks that generate target account engagement, pipeline, and revenue growth. 

What you’ll do
  • Developing and leading the strategy and framework for lead generation across verticals and geographies, both in North America and international markets. runZero is in over 50 countries today and will continue to focus on our international growth!
  • Help to implement new tools and workflows to improve/automate processes to achieve lead generation goals, report on metrics, and obtain company goals
  • Works with the Marketing team to build collaterals, use-case summaries, social media content, and campaigns in support of BDR prospecting activities and educating people about runZero
  • Provide BDRs with a coaching cadence of time management, objection handling, prospecting tactics, and active listening skills
  • Mentor new BDRs with training, including product knowledge, buyer personas, competition, tools training, and plenty of role-plays
  • Researching and discovering new companies for runZero to work with, and guiding the team to engage those companies through targeted outreach strategies
  • Analyze and coach new messaging techniques for the team’s continual improvement and understanding of buyer personas/industries
  • Review and maintain metrics to ensure accurate reports
  • Hold regular one-on-one meetings with team members to evaluate progress and discuss professional development
  • Hiring, training, and managing a growing team of BDRs
Skills you have
  • 3+ years of experience in tech SaaS B2B or business development (preferably in the security industry) with 1+ years of experience in a team lead or management role
  • A collaborative mentor who instills a learning environment and demonstrates a strong work ethic
  • Ability to understand technical concepts, possess enthusiasm for technology, and to articulate clearly to all levels of technical aptitude’
  • Proven capabilities in account development and awareness of the buyer journey, sales process, and the stakeholders involved 
  • An effective listener, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive and empathetic leader who coaches teammates through wins and losses

Salary range: runZero values transparency in the hiring process. According to our market data, we’re expecting this role to come in at a salary of about  $170-180k OTE, plus stock options. We know that the talent market is always in flux, so please let us know if you believe we have advertised this role at the wrong salary band
