Role Description and Mission:

Individual owns the client billing process which involves information compilation on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to include Dispatches, Client Data Loads and processed claims details which results in invoices issued and revenue recognized.  The role owns all research and analysis on billing inquiries from internal departments and external clients. The individual is responsible for all client invoices and participates in any adjustments made to client’s accounts.  This role will take on specific analytical projects required to improve individual client billing practices, departmental billing processes, and operational practices influencing billing. 

Key Outcomes:
  • Perform database queries of relative client data to retrieve invoice detail by period. Perform analysis to determine that the data is complete; includes all dates to be billed, no duplication of service, missing required information (client specific details as required). 
  • Analyze pre-invoice exclusions as well as post-invoice client rejections, searching for trends and repeat billing errors and works with the Sr. Analyst Financial Operations to correct system errors and upstream business processes which have created these issues.
  • Stay current with client contract adjustments to verify accurate implementation of pricing changes as they are executed.  This due diligence will be particularly important as Agero moves from custom billing systems to an implementation of Oracle Projects, Service Contract, Policy Automation and Advanced Pricing
  • Create client invoices substantiated by supporting detail in Oracle A/R 
  • Monitor Oracle Receivables by client and prepare account adjustments as required (Credit Memos, Debit Memos, Refunds). 
  • Interact with multiple personnel levels and internal departments including but not limited to Claims, IT, Sales, Client Services, and Contact Center to resolve and correct clients’ billing issues, rejects, and inquiries
  • Work with Collections Specialist to ensure that EFT (electronic fund transfer) amounts are properly applied to open balances and client rejections are researched and resolved. 
  • Under the direction of the Sr. Analyst Financial Operations maintains group support responsibilities for cross training learning opportunities and PTO support.
Skills, Education and Experience:
  • Minimum 1-2 years billing or claims processing, customer service and/or credit and collections in a high volume business environment using tier I enterprise business systems. 
  • Strong Excel and Access data analytical experience preferred.
  • Oracle A/R experience preferred.  
  • Oracle Service Contracts, Advanced Pricing, Policy Automation and Projects desired
