*This position will utilize the hybrid (in-office and remote) work model.
As a Billing Specialist, critical components of the job include receiving inbound client calls and emails, helping clients resolve billing related questions and concerns, processing of credit and debit memos, and managing the refund and cancellation processes. A strong foundation and working directly with clients and internal teams is preferred. In addition, this position will require excellent attention to detail and the ability to deliver results under deadlines. This role works as a member of the Accounting team, and collaborates closely with Sales, Support, and the wider Finance team. A day in the life!
You will be responsible for the following:
- Work directly with Retention and Client Support teams to manage the client cancellation workflow.
- Process client credit memos, debit memos, and refunds in an accurate and timely manner.
- Address and handle client billing related questions and concerns via phone and email.
- Work across departments to research and resolve escalated client disputes and billing exceptions.
- Drive process improvements including working with business partners and other departments.

Required Experience:
- Proficiency in Excel
- Able to work in fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Interest and aptitude to work with high volume of data processing
- Able to function independently as well as within a team effectively
- Well developed problem-solving and analytical skills
- Able to discern alternatives and make objective recommendations
- Excellent Oral and written communication skills
- Must be based in Overland Park, KS area
Do you stand above the rest?
Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- Experience with large ERP systems (Great Plains, Oracle, Intacct)
- SalesForce experience a plus
- 2+ years’ experience in Finance, Accounting, or Billing
