BUSINESS DATA ANALYSIS MANAGER


WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

Reporting to the KYC Operations Manager this incumbent, will develop, manage, and maintain production forecasting and staffing models, systems, reports, and analysis to support KYC. Provides leadership in change management and efficiency/systems enhancements. This role is responsible for identifying business requirements and translating business needs into moderately complex database-related analyses and projects for a department or functional area. Identifies business requirements and analytical needs; identifies and recommends potential data sources; compiles and mines data from multiple, cross business sources; performs complex analysis of findings and trends using statistical analysis, modeling, process documentation, data analysis, etc.; recommends solutions to increase automation/through-put, reduce expense, maximize operational efficiency, quality, compliance, etc. Responds to requests for specific customized reports and ad hoc analysis.


Banking and Investment Services Division
Banking and Investment Services plays an integral role in leading the strategic vision and execution of all banking operations. Our servicing and operations professionals partner closely with all of our lines of business to carry out critical functions, including client/deposit servicing, contact center operations, payments processing, and trade and lending operations, while identifying and mitigating risk throughout the organization. WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Develop, test and continuously improve quantitative models for existing, new and limited life products. Drive utilization of product research and surveying data to develop forecast ranges on new products. Identify key business drivers and develop models to provide higher level forecasts at a quarterly and product category level.
  • Drive the automation of data mining, reporting tasks, and ad hoc requests for information and analysis. Support departmental systems, databases, and other technical infrastructure. Work with IS to develop programs to automate departmental data mining and reporting tasks.
  • Continually assess monitor and make recommendations regarding the service levels/performance of the department as well as managing/ensuring a strong relationship/partnership with the management team. Recommends and implements best practices and up to date industry standards.
  • Analyze departmental performance against forecasting benchmarks and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). Implement new processes, systems, other initiatives to improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Participate in the evaluation of departmental systems, systems/process integration efforts with other departments and estimating models. Lead additional KYC projects and tasks as necessary.
  • Manage the quantitative analysis staff functions of the KYC Operations Group. Provide guidance to supervisory staff in recruiting, training performance appraisals and other related human resource activities


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Must-Have*

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 4+ years of Management Experience
  • 5+ years experience with database extraction and tools
  • 5+ years working in a financial services business line function (e.g. Treasury Management, Retail or Commercial Banking)
  • 10+ years experience in financial services / banking experience


Skills and Knowledge

  • Extensive skill and experience using data extraction tools, accessing data and performing data analysis from multiple and complex sources.
  • Tools include but not limited to Access, Excel and or similar data extraction and manipulation methods.
  • Track record of developing and implementing effective repeatable processes and controls to ensure extracted data meets business needs.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of banking, client relationship and risk management; working knowledge of bank back office processes and systems preferred.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to mentor and develop staff and supervisors.
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of management.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
  • Experience working with Visualization and ETL tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Alteryx
  • 5+ years writing SQL – experience with relational DB's like MS SQL, Oracle, Teradata
Compensation
Starting base salary: $111,408 - $189,738 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
