Simple Technology Solutions is looking for a Business Development Analyst to add to our team.
Quick Position Overview:
- US Citizenship is required
- Bachelor's Degree is required
- Experience with the federal government acquisition process is preferred
The Role:
In this role, we are looking for someone who possesses analytical, process, and knowledge management skills to support full life-cycle growth activities including business development, capture, and proposal management activities. The candidate should have an understanding of the federal sales cycle and common federal contracting research tools (eg. GovWin, FPDS, etc.). To succeed in this role, one must have the ability to take initiative and be a self starter. The ideal candidate must be able to engage and communicate effectively (verbally and written) in a wide range of technical business discussions (cloud technologies, agile development, etc.) with colleagues, executive management, and key stakeholders. Also ideally, this person should aspire to become a gov't contracting outbound business development professional.Â
The Business Development Specialist at STS will:
- Engage in Business Development activities.
- Â Support identification and qualification activities of opportunities.
- Â Manage and enhance CRM data capture, entry, and reporting capabilities.
- Â Provide quantitative analysis of key growth metrics
- Â Support Capture Manager and Capture activities including analysis on customer budgets, competitive landscapes, due diligence on teaming partners, etc.Â
- Collaborate with various stakeholders such as Business Development leads, Account Managers, Project Managers, Technical SMEs, writers, marketing specialists, recruiters, etc.Â
- Support meetings with customers and industry partners.
- Research customer agencies, opportunities, competitors, teaming partners, and organization and industry contacts.
- Attend and support industry and networking events.
- Support RFI, White Paper and/or proposal development including coordination of schedules, action items, and writing.
- Support annual account planning efforts
Education and Experience:
Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- Ability to develop, communicate, and document strategic programs and initiatives to stakeholders and executive management
- Ability to articulate complex issues into succinct, cohesive summaries, and presentations
- Experience managing, writing, and delivering high quality written responses
- Â Excellent communication skills
- Â Demonstrates strong leadership capabilities
Preferred Experience
- Broad knowledge and experience with the federal government acquisition processesÂ
- Experience with federal sales cycles
- Technical background ( cloud technologies, agile development, DevSecOps, etc.) or operational experience
