The specialist role supporting the existing business development management teams within our portfolios of Defense, Law Enforcement/Intel and Civilian agencies. This is an internal role with extensive exposure to Dynamo leadership, project teams, and our customers. This role is based out of our HQ office in Vienna, VA.Â
Duties/ ResponsibilitiesÂ
The BD and Capture Specialist is an integral part of the Dynamo Business Development ecosystem, with multiple opportunities to further develop career and market knowledge.
The specialists will directly support and help implement corporate pursuit strategies for various Federal markets and emerging capabilities. This includes researching promising new business opportunities, networking and cultivating teaming strategies, and turning those opportunities into new business for the company. The ideal candidate is a team player, able to see the big picture without overlooking the details, and fosters a positive, collaborative, and responsive team environment.
We are looking for self-motivating employees with a passion for business development in the Federal sector and are eager to learn about, and further their skills in the capture and proposal lifecycle. Dynamo is searching for quick learners and excellent communicators who enjoy working as part of a fast-paced team with a dynamic workload. The ideal candidate is one who is excited to take on new opportunities and learn new skills.
The Business Development and Capture specialist will have responsibilities supporting:
- Opportunity tracking and pursuit review
- Managing client database and distribution list
- Managing partner database and distribution list
- Finding, documenting, and tracking opportunities
- Finding and developing partnerships
- Supporting account planning and pursuit strategies
- Engaging with project teams to build customer knowledge
- Evaluate and shape and help pursue opportunitiesÂ
- Additional responsibilities as required for business development
Required Skills/Abilities
- Familiarity in common tools such as GovWin, FPDS, LinkedIn, etc.Â
- Federal acquisition cycle familiarity
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Task management experience
- Strong oral and written skills
- Proficiency in researching and developing market and competitive data independently
- Ability to draw logical conclusions about correlated data
- SharePoint proficiency
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
- Experience in organizing, facilitating and managing meetingsÂ
Nice to Have Skills
- Shipley training in Business Development or Proposal Writing
- Financial/Pricing Experience
- Proposal development and management
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1-3 years’ experience supporting federal clients, ideally with business development, project management, or business /competitive intelligence analysis experience/exposure
Travel Requirement:
- Occasional travel to customer locations (2-3 annually), but not required.
Clearance Requirement:
- Eligible for a Public Trust
