This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Development Director based in the United States.
This is a high-impact commercial role focused on driving strategic growth, expanding market presence, and building long-term client relationships within the travel and technology services space. The position combines hands-on business development with strategic account expansion, requiring a strong ability to identify opportunities, close complex deals, and influence senior stakeholders. You will play a key role in shaping revenue growth by developing new business pipelines and strengthening existing client partnerships. The environment is fast-paced, target-driven, and highly collaborative, with a strong emphasis on autonomy and accountability. This role is ideal for a commercially driven professional who thrives on relationship-building, negotiation, and market expansion. Accountabilities:
- Develop and execute business development strategies to drive new client acquisition and revenue growth across assigned markets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients to expand business opportunities
- Identify, qualify, and close new sales opportunities while managing a consistent and healthy pipeline
- Present tailored solutions to clients, including proposals, pricing, and value-driven recommendations
- Negotiate contracts and commercial terms to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, forecasts, and client interactions using CRM tools such as Salesforce
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between client needs and service delivery
- Monitor market trends and competitive activity to identify new growth opportunities
- Represent the organization professionally in client meetings, industry discussions, and networking events
- 3–10+ years of experience in business development or sales, ideally within travel, technology, or service-based industries
- Proven track record of generating revenue and closing complex deals in competitive markets
- Strong understanding of sales strategy, pipeline management, and account development
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong strategic thinking with a results-oriented and customer-focused mindset
- Experience using Salesforce and Microsoft Office tools
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience preferred
- Ability to build strong relationships across diverse stakeholders and organizational levels
