Job Description:
We are looking for a collaborative and highly engaged Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our New Logo Sales Team. You will be responsible for introducing KEV’s School Cash Suite of solutions to C-level School District Business Officials in your assigned territory. You’ll work closely with Account Executives, marketing, customer success, and product departments to learn about the product and the value we offer to existing/prospective clients.
As an experienced BDR, you take pride in picking up the phone, setting up meetings and holding discovery meetings to understand prospective client needs. You also have the ability to ask key questions and deliver compelling reasons to act. You have a proven track record of developing a strong industry and customer understanding and using that understanding to push the customer’s thinking and teaching them something new about how they can operate more efficiently/effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Build a pipeline through successful outbound calls, email communications, and events
- Achieve or exceed monthly quotas for qualified leads and meetings booked within an assigned territory
- Research prospect targets, identify decision makers, and generate initial interest
- Maintain and expand the database of prospects within your assigned territory
- Collaborate with Account Executives and the rest of the Sales/Marketing Team to design and implement large scale lead generation campaigns targeting decision makers with tailored messages and value proposition
- Make daily prospect calls, qualify and set up meetings for Account Executives from both inbound and outbound leads
- Clearly articulate KEV’s mission and core differentiators to prospective clients
- Follow up with existing and prospective clients to generate interest in KEV’s suite of products
- Partner with Account Executive on full-cycle sales for smaller school districts
- Document all activities and communications in Salesforce
- Provide feedback of key messages gathered from prospects in terms of our messaging, needs of the prospect, message resonation, competitive insights etc.
- Generate appointments by means of proactive outbound prospecting
- Work directly with sales and marketing to discover opportunities from leads
Requirements and Skills:
- Driven, goal-oriented and entrepreneurial sales professional.
- 2+ years of SaaS selling experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Strong track record of meeting sales objectives such as quota and productivity requirements
- Strong relationship-management skills
- Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills
- Excellent time-management skills and the ability to work autonomously
- Demonstrated and strong selling and influencing skills
- Will work remotely but must be open to travel in your assigned region
