Business Intelligence Analyst

In your role as Business Intelligence Analyst you will make meaningful contributions to the development of reports, data visualizations, and business insights at CS Disco.  Reporting to the Director of Business Intelligence, the Business Intelligence Analyst plays an important role in developing operational reporting across the company.  In addition, you will collaborate widely across the organization with executives, analysts, software engineers, accountants, and other key stakeholders. 

Duties

• Build new reports and visualizations the business needs to enhance decision making
• Maintain ELT transformations and data tests
• Analyze the business to reveal unknown or not-well-understood trends
• Unlock valuable business insights by combining data from disparate operational systems, spreadsheets, and databases
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to gather reporting requirements and share insights from your analyses
• Other duties as identified by management 

Skills/Qualifications

• Significant skill using SQL to manipulate data and produce business-relevant information
• Solid Excel/gsheet skills: especially pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and SUMIFs
• Attention to detail is non-negotiable.  The right candidate has attention to detail hardwired into their thinking.
• A natural tilt towards collaboration: business insights are only as a good as the change they drive across the organization
• Welcomes constructive criticism
• Experience with python, C#, or Java is a plus
• A bachelor’s degree in analytics, MIS, econometrics/economics, mathematics, or other analytical discipline
