POSITION SUMMARY
Under general supervision of the Software Engineering Manager or their delegates, the Business Intelligence Engineer works as a core member of the team and is involved in direct communication with both internal and external clients. This is a cross-functional role that works closely with both technology assets and end users. The candidate conducts all activities in accordance with established standards and procedures.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acquire a thorough understanding of the overall business processes, data flow, and data relationships
- Design and implement data visualizations and reporting based on current business needs
- On-demand and subscription-based static and dynamic reporting
- Web portal dashboards and executive summaries
- Ad-hoc analytics to support sales opportunities and maintain strong client relationships
- Assist in the design and implementation of accessing and utilizing the various data sources in an optimized fashion (data warehousing / OLAP)
- Work with end users and management to assess and cultivate long-term strategic goals for leveraging business intelligence analytics
- Build and maintain both internal and external customer relationships
- Create and maintain working documentation for advanced end-users
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- Strong communication, analytical, organizing, applied learning, initiative, and adaptability skills
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Information Systems AND/OR
- 2+ years' related work experience developing and supporting business intelligence analytics using the MS SQL Server Suite (SSRS, SSAS, PowerPivot), Power BI, Tableau, Incorta, Microsoft Excel, Excel Automation with .NET (SoftArtisans ExcelWriter)
- 2+ years' experience with working with SQL Server SQL 2016 or higher database systems using T-SQL, stored procedures, query optimization; SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is a plus
- 2+ years' experience working with .NET technologies: C#, VB.NET, HTML/CSS is a plus
- Experience working with Agile and/or Lean Software Development methodologies is a plus
- Experience working with Azure DevOps / Git source control is a plus
