Job Description

Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is seeking a business manager to support the CO+I AI Inflection Team . CO+I is responsible for planning, building and operating Microsoft's cloud infrastructure datacenters across the globe . CO+I is supported by multiple business verticals includ ing supply planning and strategic acquisition, global construction, datacenter and edge site operations, critical environment and availability, engineering, and datacenter innovation.

To help us continue to scale and meet our customer commitments, we are looking for a Business Manager to support the AI Inflection team . Members of this team have unique visibility into a key Microsoft business and the opportunity to drive impact across the CO+I organization . This position will be responsible for managing organizational rhythm of business, action tracking and management, and cross-functional business readouts and assessment . This individual should have a blend of strategy, planning, business management, communications, and program management skills to successfully support the Team.

Qualifications:

Required/Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 4+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred/Additional Qualifications:
  • 2+ years in business operations or datacenter domain experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, with MBA preferred
  • Microsoft experience would be beneficial
  • Proactive positive outlook and approach to change management
  • Proven project management and organization skills
  • Established business acumen and mental agility to ramp quickly across our diverse business and offerings
  • Enjoy working under pressure and deadlines
  • Proven effectiveness collaborating across groups and driving multi-stakeholder planning processes to desired results
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex issues and formulate recommendations to a wide variety of audiences are essential
  • Solid problem-solving skills with strong technical proficiency and strategic thinking

Business Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $91,800 - $178,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $117,900 - $195,000 per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the operating structures and Rhythm of Business (ROB) inclusive of Fundamentals, Quarterly repeating cross-functional meetings and other critical rhythms as they are established .
  • Build, develop and maintain highly collaborative and effective working relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate proactive planning and flawless execution against our business objectives .
  • Demonstrates thought leadership in contributing to overall business goals, objectives, and strategies, as well as short- and long-term business priorities. Understands and identifies current program risks, impact, and develops mitigation plans impacting the broader unit.
  • Identify , evaluate, and implement knowledge management tools and sites to ensure effective cultivating, maintaining and sharing of team knowledge .
  • Understand the end-to-end business to help effectively manage priorities
  • Drives clarity in highly complex program issues and strives for simplification.
  • Additional projects as needed.
