The Opportunity
USAA's Technology Business Management Office (TBMO) is a vital function within IT to provide decision-makers with insights and analysis to help drive efficiencies across IT. As a business technologist Analyst Sr, you will support affiliate agreements for IT Leaders, ensuring our agreements are aligned to services we provide our affiliates, meeting deliverables, and coordinating changes between our affiliates and IT Providers.
Serves as liaison between the business and technology aspect of the IT/IS Services. Actively consults, plans, organizes, and manages services; including resources (time and budget) for the most efficient and effective technology utilization. Implements new frameworks and governance programs, consults on selection of technology or solutions, and works as SME on implementations.
We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, or Phoenix, AZ, Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
What you'll do:
- Oversees and helps coordinate the development of programs and processes to identify business needs and technology opportunities.
- In partnership with IT, review plans and solutions to ensure the full exploitation of technology and employment of industry recognized best solutions.
- Acts as project liaison/consultant for user groups developing Technology requirements.
- Identifies project requirements and through the identification of manpower and user requirements, identifies and brokers internal and external resources.
- Ensures adherence to established guidelines, policies, and procedures and submits recommendations for project enhancements.
- Responds to requests from management for analysis of systems processes, issue resolution, procedures, and policy studies and analysis.
- Reviews and assesses alternative processes and recommends changes to current processes, procedures, and policies.
- Coordinates schedules of reports and data input to ensure timeliness and accuracy of the financial data.
- Monitors internal external customer opportunities to anticipate and satisfy changing internal and external customer needs.
- Analyzes current critical business operations and investigates method to redesign, sustain, and reinvent optional business processes such as the redesign of SLAs and service descriptions.
- Develops governance agreements with customers and internal suppliers.
- Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
- Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- 6 years of related experience and accountability analyzing complex business and technology issues and requirements and developing and/or implementing technology solutions in IT/IS Ops and/or Technology oversight or Governance experience.
- 4 years of experience analyzing and synthesizing complex business and technology requirements, issues and strategies with recommendations to senior leaders.
- Prior Experience with /within Technology delivery group.
- Experience monitoring IT and / or IS performance and SLA metrics.
- Knowledge and understanding of Third-Party Risk and/or Affiliate oversight.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and capable of building strong relationships within the multiple layers of any organization (i.e. Business partners, Committees and the IT/IS Leaders).
What sets you apart:
- US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner
- 3+ years of managing third party contracts, affiliate agreements, or Account relationship management
- 3+ years of service delivery management experience
- 2+ years' experience with IT service management processes
- 2+ years' experience developing/managing Service level agreements for IT Services.
- 3+ years' experience presenting service performance and financial related information to IT and business leaders.
- Excellent communications experience and facilitating meetings between providers of IT services and business consumers of IT services

What we offer:
Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $86,520-$165,340.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
