Job Description

Team: Business Development

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Transformation Leader based in the United States.

This is a high-impact, enterprise transformation role focused on reshaping how a global industrial business prioritizes growth, simplifies operations, and drives profitability. You will partner closely with senior leadership to define and embed an 80/20 operating model that sharpens focus on the most valuable products, customers, and processes. The role blends strategy, analytics, and hands-on execution across portfolio management, commercial optimization, and operational efficiency. You will influence decisions that directly affect margin, capacity, and resource allocation across the organization. Working in a highly cross-functional environment, you will bridge product, sales, and operations to eliminate complexity and accelerate scalable growth. This is a remote position with occasional travel and strong visibility at the executive level.

Accountabilities

You will lead enterprise-wide transformation efforts by embedding 80/20 principles into strategy, governance, and daily decision-making across the organization. Your work will focus on simplifying complexity, improving profitability, and enabling scalable growth through structured prioritization and trade-off discipline.

  • Define and lead the 80/20 strategy across product, customer, and operational dimensions, including segmentation frameworks and governance models.
  • Drive portfolio simplification by partnering with Product teams to rationalize SKUs, consolidate platforms, and enforce lifecycle discipline.
  • Develop customer segmentation strategies and collaborate with Sales to prioritize high-value accounts and improve commercial effectiveness.
  • Partner with Operations and Engineering to reduce manufacturing complexity, standardize processes, and improve throughput and efficiency.
  • Reallocate resources across engineering, capital, and talent toward high-value initiatives while eliminating low-impact work.
  • Build organizational capability by training leaders, developing toolkits, and embedding lean and continuous improvement practices.
  • Requirements

This role requires a seasoned transformation leader with deep experience in manufacturing or industrial environments, strong analytical capability, and a proven ability to drive enterprise-wide change. You should be highly comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and translating complex data into clear business decisions.

    • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial organizations.
    • 5+ years of experience leading enterprise 80/20, Lean, or large-scale business transformation initiatives.
    • Strong background in portfolio management, supply chain, pricing, operations, and business analytics.
    • Proven ability to drive complexity reduction, margin expansion, and operational simplification at scale.
    • Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Operations, and Engineering teams.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with executive-level influence.
    • Benefits

      • Competitive annual salary with performance-based incentive eligibility
      • Remote-first work arrangement with flexibility and autonomy
      • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance options
      • Retirement and savings plans to support long-term financial security
      • Paid time off and holidays to support work-life balance
      • Professional development opportunities, including training and leadership growth programs
      • Exposure to enterprise-level transformation initiatives with high executive visibility
