Job Description

CGG is looking for a passionate, creative, and hard-working CCUS Business Development Manager to join our Earth Data team! 

Reporting to the Manager of Carbon and Energy Storage, the Business Development Manager is responsible for developing an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Western Hemisphere CCUS market, and identifying, developing, and delivering opportunities in which CGG should participate.

The ideal candidate will have a customer-obsessed entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to successfully position CGG in the CCUS market by delivering energy storage solutions and data to our clients.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties 

  • Fostering a relevant internal and external network 
  • Identifying and nurturing customer relationships, discovering needs, quantifying how CGG can add value and generate new business
  • Contributing to Innovation and development of new products and services for the CCUS industry
  • Contributing to strategic marketing initiatives 
  • Coordinate with local sales
  • Lead partnership discussions for CCUS in the Western Hemisphere
  • Identification and qualification of targets for M&A activity
  • Developing knowledge of competitors and CGG’s relative strengths and weaknesses
  • Engage and nurture relationship with CCUS regulators to understand market needs and increase CGG’s influence


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or related experience in Oil & Gas exploration

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in sales/business development
  • Domain knowledge and at least three years of experience in CCUS or related subsurface exploration are a plus 
  • Behavioral flexibility to build customer relationships, adapt easily, coach, and influence
  • Persuasive and persistent
  • Self-starter with the ability to adapt and change course in response to changing circumstances
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
