CDL Truck Driver (Union) - Los Angeles

Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. This is a full-time union position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering products within assigned route schedule and time windows. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage time effectively. Responsibilities • Unload product from trailer, by hand or using hand cart/pallet jack, and place in designated customer storage areas. May include transporting product down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditions. • Move product and other materials to and from storage areas, loading docks, and delivery vehicles by hand and special equipment. • Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures. • Sort product before loading and unloading. • Collect money (cash or checks) where required, and turn in all funds collected daily. • Pickup, load and unload damaged goods and customer returns, and complete necessary paperwork. • Perform pre-trip and post-trip responsibilities in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and JFC policies and procedures. • Move drums and boxes weighing up to 170 lbs. using a hand truck (may include going up ramps or stairs) • Complete Department of Transportation (DOT) logs (electronic or manual as required), company vehicle maintenance reports and reconcile with appropriate company representative as required. • Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including but not limited to hand cart, pallets jacks, and personal protective equipment. • Other related duties. Qualifications • Class A CDL or Class B CDL with an acceptable driving record • English language skills (speaking, reading, writing) • 1-2 years of previous experience preferred • Lifting/carrying up to about 50 lbs (sacks of rice) • Pushing/pulling over 80 - 100 lbs. • Experience with operating machinery, including forklift, pallet jacket, etc. preferred • Knowledge of DOT and CDL Regulations • Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide). • Strong attention to detail and highly accurate • Dependable work ethic • Positive attitude • Collaboration skills • Excellent interpersonal communication skills • Customer service focused • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, weekends and holidays Join our team today and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional service through safe and efficient transportation!
