Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Job Description
Position Summary: The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) assumes responsibility for administering anesthesia and monitoring patients through their surgeries. The CRNA maintains the patient’s anesthesia levels during surgery and ensures proper anesthesia recovery for patients until the patient is transferred to the care units. Â
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or relevant undergraduate degree as well as a Master’s Degree in Nursing. A minimum of 2 years of work experience as a CRNA is required. Holds a current VI RN license.Â
Specific Requirements: Â
- Current BLS certification.
- NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
- Must be knowledgeable and comfortable working with computers.
