Chief Architect

We are actively searching for a Chief Architect to join our expanding business. The Chief Architect will be working with our product and development teams to build long-term, strategic Enterprise Architecture program for all business and technology systems. Naturally, this role requires you to possess strong experience working closely with business and technology leaders to define target-state Enterprise Architecture blueprints. 

As our Chief Architect, your key responsibilities will include:

• Be an evangelist and strong communicator of the architectural blueprints
• Develop Architecture team to provide technical leadership to the development and IT Ops team(s)
• Develop architecture management framework, models, and blueprints, to guide in the design and deployment of solution architecture
• Design organization’s architecture governance for both business and technology needs.
• Evaluate vendors and technology using an Architecture-team-developed scorecard
• Keep abreast of new technologies that might be beneficial to the organization by encouraging innovation and collaborating with internal/external resources
• Performance Optimization: Help the engineering team with the optimization of certain systems
• Architecture Review Boards: Run or participate in architecture reviews and approvals
• Manage the architecture staff, including assignment of work items, employee performance, engagement, and professional development
• Provide advice and status to senior management on technical strategy and alignment with business goals
• Manage the new technology adoption workflow
• Provide system and technological change management expertise to guide the organization through platform evolution

In order to apply for this role, you will need to possess the following skills, experience, and qualifications: 

• B.S. degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science or Engineering. MS degree strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience managing a central architecture team
• Demonstrated experience delivering high-performance, enterprise-scale software using state of the art cloud native software stacks
• 15+ years of progressively responsible professional software engineering experience (including management) coupled with a minimum of 8 years in a technical architect role
• A minimum of 10 years working with an Agile development methodology
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

SALARY

USD $245,000 Min – USD $260,000 Max OTE
