Our CxD organization is looking for a Chief of Staff to support its mission and ambitions. We are seeking an experienced professional with a proven track record for planning, executing, and continuously improving the operations, communications, and culture of an organization in a Chief of Staff role.

- Enhance the operational efficiency and impact of the CxD Studio in partnership with the CVP of Design, Teams & ODSP Chief of Staff community, and executive leadership -- You'll collaborate closely with the Chief of Staff and business operations community to manage the organization rhythm of business and shared priorities. You'll partner with leaders in Design, Design Research, Engineering, and Product Management to deliver on the organization's operational objectives.
- Help to plan and track budget spending across our work group -- You will be responsible for managing the team's budget in partnership with the Finance organization. You'll work closely with the CxD Leadership Team to communicate changes and ensure budget alignment globally. You will help build a budget plan at the change of the fiscal year and help to track that spend throughout to ensure we are aligned with the team's product goals.
- Help manage headcount and resourcing plans -- As our team continues to grow, you will be responsible, along with the business operations team members, for continued tracking and managing headcount changes.
- Manage the CxD Studio communications, media asset production, and PR activities -- In partnership with the Teams & ODSP CVP of Design, you'll work with designers to execute the communication and content production strategy for internal and external conferences, events, and media publishers. Media asset production includes slides, pictures, newsletters, and video assets.
- Help drive customer and craft initiatives for all our products -- You'll work closely with Research, Customer Success, and QCO teams to curate opportunities and insights for the Design Directors across both studios to drive clarity in their teams vision putting the customer at the center of everything we do.

You'll work closely with HR partners to monitor and improve the overall employee health with an emphasis on retention, job clarity & satisfaction, especially among our diverse populations. You'll help the team execute our culture-related initiatives, measure impact, and report results.
- 5+ years of experience working cross-functionally in an enterprise, design consultancy, agency, or other environment in a Chief of Staff or other operations role.
- Working with design, research, and/or engineering teams in an operations role is a nice-to-have!
- Skilled visual and verbal communicator with internal and external audiences.
- Skilled at working within budget and schedule constraints to deliver video, visual, and written assets.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and coordinating the efforts of multiple teams across an organization; capable of managing the deliverables of people internal and external to Microsoft.
- Experience with one or more business operations function(s) including headcount, budgeting, purchase orders, OKRs, team events, etc.
- Experience problem-solving using a Design Thinking approach.
- Understanding of how to integrate diverse roles from diverse teams into a single effort that delivers success.
- Manages confidentiality without exception.
- Familiarity with Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, and/or similar design tools is a nice-to-have.
