Chief of Staff to CFO (Remote)

Responsibilities:

• Overall responsible for Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Audit, Compliance, and Internal Control functions for the company.  
• Oversee and direct internal and external reporting requirements including GAAP financial statements, foreign and domestic tax filings, debt covenant certifications, etc.  
• Ensures the preparation and analysis of all financial reports meet the needs of the organization and comply with governing reporting requirements and global regulations.
• Partners with Information Systems function to maintain financial systems and enhance operations as needed  
• Directs and develops the organization's global accounting policies, practices, procedures, and initiatives.
• Advises management of potential changes in accounting regulations or practices that may impact operations and reporting.
• Creates functional strategies and key objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support achieving expected results.
• Strong relationship with business partners, auditors, executive staff, and the Board of Directors (BOD).
• Partners with FP&A, Sales and Product finance and Operations to develop solutions and strategies that support our investment and execution objectives.
• Monitoring and influencing emerging US GAAP, IFRS and SEC developments, including participation in outreach with regulators and industry peers.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of corporate accounting and controllership experience
• BS or equivalent in a related field; CPA required; advanced degree (MBA, etc) a plus;
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct a worldwide cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Proven experience in building a high-performance team, developing leaders and in driving necessary organizational and cultural change.
• Established executive presence and ability to present effectively to executive leadership team, the BOD, and external authorities.
• Solid understanding of SEC/GAAP rules and regulations.
• Merger & acquisition and integration accounting experience
• Deep technical knowledge
• Comprehensive understanding and prior experience with design and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
