Client Onboarding Senior Associate- Finance, Accounting & Strategy Firm

We're looking for a Client Onboarding Manager to join our rapidly growing Controller Services team at Graphite Financial. This role will be critical to the company’s continued growth and success. This is a hands-on accounting and project management position. As a Client Onboarding Manager, you will communicate with clients during the onboarding process, managing the client team to get each client to a steady state. The person must be able to prioritize and multitask while working on multiple clients. 

We are looking for candidates with experience, drive, and passion who want to work with our fast-growing startup clients. 

This is a full-time position with competitive benefits and a salary range between $65,000-$80,000. This is a fully remote position with the option of using a coworking space in downtown Orlando.

Some of what you’ll do:

• Engage with clients to develop an understanding of their team, business models and needs to implement best practices according to the signed SOW
• Deliver high-quality client service to the CEOs and Founders of all clients. Partnering with leadership to manage client relationships
• Act as one of the primary point of contact for clients' accounting questions and needs during the onboarding phase
• Oversee the successful progression of the new client onboarding process -- from the time a client signs to the time they transition to a steady-state relationship
• Transform client financials to industry best practices and accrual standards
• Develop and document accounting processes and scalable procedures with strong controls to implement on new clients
• Oversee and assist teams performing clean up, creation of balance sheet backup schedules and month-end checklist
• Mentor and develop client teams while walking them through the client onboarding process and train as needed on best practices
• Assist with the allocation of work across the team to balance workload and training opportunities

Who are you:

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

• An undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA a plus
• Ideally 5+ years of experience with full close-cycle accounting
• Experience developing complex accounting processes and documentation
• Experience working in multiple General Ledger systems (QBO, Sage Intacct, Xero, Netsuite)
• Experience with cloud-based accounting applications (Bill, Fathom, Expensify, Melio, Ramp, Brex)
• Working knowledge of inventory and inventory management systems 
• A passion for leveraging systems and driving process improvements
• Strong working knowledge of Excel
• CPA and/or audit experience a plus
• Expertise working with venture-backed start-ups a plus
