Job Description

The IT department at Airtable is seeking an IT Systems Engineer to assist us in choosing, maintaining or building tools to automate all the internal processes and applications.

In this role, you’ll be involved with building out a full stack for the management of Windows clients. You’ll gain a deep knowledge of IT and cross-functional applications and processes and apply integrations to enable us to grow in a secure, automated way. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that we provide the framework for deployment, management, and patching of Windows clients and making sure that Windows users have parity with all other OS users.

What you'll do
  • Design and deploy the tools needed to support the configuration and deployment of Windows clients.
  • Implement monitoring for Windows clients to produce data such as logging, metrics, and tracing.
  • Identify, develop and maintain automated processes via scripting.
  • Manage configuration of our endpoint security software such as endpoint detection and response, application allow/block, and host-based intrusion detection software.
  • Manage transition plans for major upgrades or patches.
  • Write scripts/policies that automate application and settings distribution using internal tools.
  • Work as the escalation point between various support teams for issues with Windows clients.
  • Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future end user needs.
Who you are
  • 4+ years of experience.
  • Solution oriented: What you build will impact all of Airtable.
  • You can use Powershell to automate tasks across the endpoint landscape.
  • You know Microsoft Intune/Microsoft Endpoint Manager in-depth.
  • You have experience with directory services and integration with Windows endpoints.
  • You know how to work with deployment technologies such as MDT, Microsoft Autopilot, etc.
  • You understand how configuration management tools like Puppet work and have experience deploying and working with them.
  • You know how to build and deploy custom packages for Windows 10 and higher.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization. 
  • You are self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently
  • In this role, you are organized and analytical, adept at working in a high-performing team environment, able to follow a project schedule, have a continuous improvement mindset, and are capable of handling multiple priorities concurrently

The compensation awarded to successful candidates will vary based on their location, relevant skills and experience. For Colorado based roles, the base salary range for this role is $130,000-$180,000. The total compensation package also includes the opportunity to receive benefits, restricted stock units, and may include incentive compensation.
