The Cl in ical Strategic Account Executive position is an excit in g pharmacist opportunity to use your cl in ical background , specialty knowledge, and bus in ess acumen in a client-fac in g role. You will serve as the specialty account owner oversee in g the specialty pharmacy bus in ess with in the Carelon Rx D ivision . As a Cl in ical Strategic Account Executive , your primary focus is serv in g as the specialty account owner and driv in g the client strategy through effective partnership. You will accomplish this through:
  • Lead in g the direct activities of the strategic account team by provid in g the overall direction and strategy
  • Build in g strong relationships both in ternally as well as with the key client partners
  • In fluenc in g client up-sell opportunities, growth, and retention by clearly communicat in g the client vision amongst the account team
  • Manag in g contracts and ensur in g that CVS Health solutions are effectively positioned to result in in creased revenue
  • Formulat in g responses to Request for Proposals (RFPs) through collaboration with primary in ternal partners such as underwrit in g and proposals
In addition, you will utilize cl in ical and analytical skills in a managed care environment to positively impact the health of members while help in g reduce health care costs. You will accomplish this through:
  • Serv in g as the cl in ical subject matter expert on the account team
  • Provid in g cl in ical consult in g services through analyz in g drug utilization patterns and trends , focused on specialty, for our Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) clients to make formulary and utilization management (UM) recommendations; and review in g the overalleffectiveness of their clients' specialty prescription benefit programs
  • Leverag in g your presentation skills by deliver in g quarterly and annual report in g to clients on the cl in ical aspects of their specialty pharmaceuticals .
  • Educat in g clients on CVS Health's cl in ical programs and solutions to make recommendations for client implementation and adoption.
  • Additional responsibilities in clude, but are not limited to, evaluation of drug utilization in formation, provision of in formation on formulary programs,serv in g as a drug in formation resource, and assist in g plan performance evaluation and benefit design development.
Your performance in these areas will be driven by your ability to grow revenue through cl in ical programs and solutions and achieve above average client satisfaction scores. Your understand in g of the specialty, PBM and managed care environment as well as keep in g up to date on market trends will enable you to position CVS Health programs and solutions effectively to client decision makers.

This position can be located in a CVS Corporate Hub or has the ability to work remotely with in the U.S.

Required Qualifications
  • 3 + years of cl in ical experience manag in g a large client account in the PBM, health plan, or related healthcare field with a focus on account ownership and strategy
  • 2+ years of specialty pharmacy experience
  • Valid pharmacy license required
  • Proven performance in a PBM /specialty or healthcare sales/service position manag in g commercial, government and/or specialty bus in ess.
  • Must be able to travel approximately 25% (six to eight times per year) . Travel may require but is not limited to flights, overnight stays, local travel, travel on short notice and other travel deemed necessary by the Company.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 to 8 years of Managed Care experience desirable OR experience support in g Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) or health plan clients
  • Experience present in g in formation in a formal sett in g
  • Experience us in g analytical skills and logic to analyze the bus in ess, solve problems, and present recommendations to leaders in an effort to develop solutions.
  • Strong communications and presentation skills

  • Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy (RPh) or PharmD
Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,425.00 - $216,300.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
