The Opportunity

This Cloud Infrastructure Architect position works out of our Sunnyvale, CA or Sylmar, CA location in the CRM Cardiac Rhythm Management division.

Cloud Infrastructure Architect will contribute to the architecture, design and implementation of cloud infrastructure under a disciplined product development process that meets FDA and other regulatory agencies requirements. Create an architecture that is resilient, consistent, secure, and highly-scalable.

What You'll Work On

• Responsible for network and security of cloud based infrastructure.
• Collaborate with application architects to create a simplified architecture to reduce cost and technical dept.
• Collaborate with application teams to optimize cloud applications and Infrastructure services with highly available and resilient architecture. Design failure scenarios, high availability (HA) capabilities and validate the application, infrastructure requirements.
• Help create and maintain disaster recovery processes and technology.
• Lead migration of services from on-premise to Cloud platform.
• Establish platform templates supporting key dimensions such as availability, security, and performance.
• Develop cloud best practices and ensure its consistent use across the enterprise
• Develop stable, standardized and repeatable architectural standards for cloud solutions
• Should be able to evaluate and suggest new tools and technologies for overall improvement of the product
• Work independently and mentoring junior team members.
• Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering discipline, computer science, related engineering field
• 10 + years of experience in IT which includes Platform and Infrastructure architect experience
• Strong architecture and design experience in hybrid and cloud
• Experience with setup of Azure services (AKS, ADB2C, BlobStorage, etc ) and Azure cloud infrastructure (Subnets and Security Groups)
• Experience with Network setup (DNS, LoadBalancer, SSL, VPN, Network Firewall)
