Overview:

The Office of Enterprise Data at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) is seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Network Engineer to join and partner with the Office of Enterprise Data. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable, and reliable network solutions in Azure to support OED's critical data initiatives. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Azure networking services, network security, and experience in large-scale cloud environments. This role will be pivotal in ensuring seamless data connectivity, security, and availability across CHLA's cloud infrastructure to support advanced analytics and patient care

Key Responsibilities:

• Offshore resource will provide support in Network configuration across three subscriptions in OED - Dev, Test and Prod
  • Each subscription has two subnets with /21 as CIDR
• Provide support with Security Monitoring and implement changes/policies to maintain a Security score close to 100%
  • Azure Security Center to monitor security alerts and take appropriate actions.
  • Conduct regular reviews of security policies and configurations.
• Provide support to Security Incidents reported with OED subscriptions
• Collaborate with different teams - Data Engineering, Data Analytics, InfoSec, Networking, etc..
• Clear understanding of automation - Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like ARM templates or Terraform.
• Working knowledge of Azure Monitor and Network Watcher to identify performance issues and provide resolution
• Ability to work with Azure Admin on key Data Services like Data Trust Platform (ADLS, ADF, Synapse, Fabric, DevOps, etc..)
