Cloud Systems Engineer

The Position 

As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a critical role in the administration, security, and automation of our robust cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of existing technology services and systems. Partnering with Automation, Security, Data Systems and DevOps, you will be a critical decision-maker in driving continuous technology improvements and enhancements within our environment. 

What You’ll Be Doing (Job Duties) 

• Partner across QuoteWizard to identify, evaluate, and resolve issues within our Azure infrastructure
• Function as a technical escalation point for the IT Operations organization and the greater business
• Create/maintain technical documentation and contribute to employee knowledge base 
• Lead various IT projects in collaboration with Automation, DevOps, and Data Systems
• Help develop and evolve processes to improve the effectiveness of internal systems and workflows through scripting & automation 

What We Look for In You (Job Requirements) 

• 5+ years of experience in Information Technology, preferably in a cloud environment 
• 2+ years of experience working with Azure in an enterprise environment 
• 2+ years of experience in scripting & automation with frameworks/languages such as PowerShell, Microsoft Flow, PowerApps 
• Experience procuring, configuring, and implementing modern SaaS technology 
• Experience working with Endpoint Manager, Security Center, and other Microsoft tools
• Demonstrated engineering capability and aptitude in how you approach your work
• Willingness to learn new things, take on a challenge and not be afraid of making mistakes
• Have effective communication skills that suit a remote environment (active listening, asking questions, open to collaboration, managing up, etc.) 

 Nice to Have’s (Preferences) 

• Bachelors or master’s degree relating to Technology 
• 7+ years of experience in Information Technology 
• Experience functioning as a mentor/coach on a technical team 
• Certifications for Azure & AWS

Compensation: $50,000-$150,000 DOE

Incentive Compensation: Eligible for annual performance bonus
