Role Summary
Magna - Autosystems Amercia (Plymouth, MI) is growing and looking for driven employees to join the team as a CMM Operator/ Photometric Lab Technician.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform photometric testing for validation, verification, benchmarking and production lamps
• Review and execute applicable customer and governmental requirements for validation, verification, and production testing
• Provide efficient operation of CNC & Manual CMM's and other metrological equipment needed to promote accurate dimensional analysis of product.
• Free State alignment using datum scheme f vehicle.
• Prepare documentation for review by the customer and various groups within our organization.
• Perform 1st piece layouts or dimensional checks on all manufactured components & analyze results.
• Interpret design output data as required to support 1st piece layouts (i.e. GD&T) and develop dimensional plan.
• Produce accurate legible and complete dimensional reports for review by the customer and various groups within our organization.
• Provide support to external customer, Engineering & Tooling groups on completed layouts.
• Perform initial gauge layouts and reports leading to gauge certification or rejection.
• Perform gauge R&R's and generate charts through Minitab

Key Qualifications/Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and prioritizing abilities
• Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Self-motivated, ability to initiate and follow tasks through to completion
• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, Excel; Strong knowledge of Excel formulas considered an asset
• Ability to learn new software applications
• Ability to work as a team to gather and analyze information
• Able to work flexible work hours and varied start/end times

• Work in compliance with and support company policies, procedures, work instructions and programs relating to health/safety and environment
• Provide support and resources in a timely manner to address health and safety or environmental concerns or hazards that require corrective action
• Clearly communicate goals to direct reports for health/safety and environmental protection
• Ensure adherence to facility's 5S program.
• Review accident/incident investigation reports to ensure that corrective actions have been completed
• Conduct regular audits of work area(s) to ensure no safety hazards or environmental issues exist
• Administer appropriate corrective action for substandard health and safety or environmental performance

Physical Demands: Ability to sit/stand/bend/twist/reach/push/pull as required. Ability to work at a computer/workstation. Ability to lift different objects (boxes, totes, fixtures) weighing up to 50lbs.
