Job Description

Onbe, a fast-growing FinTech, bringing innovation to a rapidly growing global marketplace, stands for “on behalf.” Because that’s exactly how we work: on behalf of our clients, as their comprehensive payments partner. We transform the way payments are imagined — as an opportunity for innovation, a source of insight to customers, and a way to connect with partners around the globe!

Summary: As part of the Financial Operations (FinOps) team, the Collections Analyst will play a critical role in holding our clients accountable for fees, dues, and other monies owed to Onbe. This role is important in helping Onbe meet our revenue goals and directly impacts achieving our targeted bottom line. With FinOps being a newly defined function at Onbe, this is an exciting opportunity to help build the department and develop and define what the role of Collections Analyst will look like in the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers to follow through on business-to-business collections.
  • Call past due accounts, document commitments, and update and document the system.
  • Meet monthly quotas for amounts and the number of accounts collected.
  • Follow up on past due invoices and use problem-solving skills to resolve a solution with the client on how and when they will fulfill their financial obligation.
  • Escalate extremely past-due accounts to senior leaders via established procedures.
  • Thoroughly document all collection activity and follow up until the collection is complete.
  • Proactively seek solutions to problems and find opportunities for improvement in the collections process.
  • Send emails or collection letters regarding the client’s account balance, due date, additional fees, etc.
  • Connect with the Client Success team on past-due accounts.
  • Complete and share monthly collections reports with the FinOps, Finance, and Client Success teams.
  • Conduct research and capture customer data relevant to the collection process.
  • Assist with special projects and all other duties assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in a B2B collection role.
  • Customer service and solutions-oriented with a positive attitude.
  • Strong and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive.
  • Exhibits a team mentality, working cross-functionally with internal teams and external clients and partners.
  • Demonstrate business acumen – the ability to balance the relationship with the customer with the needs of the business.
  • Great Plains experience is a plus.

The base salary range for this position is between $49,680.00 to $66,240.00, with eligibility for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, business needs, and market demand. Our competitive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, wellness, 401(k) matching, unlimited PTO, work from anywhere, generous parental leave and more! Our job titles may span more than one career level. All candidates are encouraged to apply.

This position can be office-based, hybrid, or fully remote in the continental United States. Onbe’s employee base is mostly clustered in the Eastern and Central time zones, with offices in suburban Philadelphia and suburban Chicago. Some periodic travel will be required.
