Overview:
Reporting to the Director of Revenue, you will manage the 'end-to-end' global commissions process. From explaining system requirements for incentive plan calculations to processing accurate commissions payments. You will also provide responsive support to field queries regularly.
You will:- Prepare, record and reconcile monthly accruals and deferred commissions expenses in accordance with US GAAP.
- Reconcile commission general ledger accounts and commissions vs actuals.
- Support the monthly, quarterly and year-end accounting close processes for revenue and preparation of relevant sections of the financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
- Communicate with Accounting and Finance for all commission accounting questions.
- Provide commission review backup and monthly Commission App calculation spot audits.
- Communicate with Sales Operations regarding compensation agreements and structure.
- Communicate with the various sales teams regarding their commissions.
- Review and analyze commissions for outliers and trends.
- Create standards and processes surrounding the commission accounting processes.
- Work with the Sales Operations and Payroll teams to accurately get commissions paid.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to determine fiscally responsible incentive payouts.
- Recommend data quality improvements, system enhancements and streamlining operational processes. Refining incentive plan terms and conditions.
- Be a liaison with external auditors to lead closure of commission accounting matters and annual audits and quarterly reviews.
- Evaluate processes, and drive system implementation and enhancements including integrations from Salesforce, Zuora, RevPro, SAP and the Commissions APP.
- 5+ years of experience in commissions processing
- 3+ years of experience with commission management and with a commission automation platform
- 5+ years of commission analyst experience
- 2+ years of staff accounting experience
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting or a related field
- Be experienced with a Sales Performance Management (SPM) platform
- Global, software/SaaS company. Public company experience is a plus.
- Experience using systems such as Salesforce, Zuora, RevPro, and SAP.
- Microsoft Excel (can perform complex functions) experience
The salary range for this role will be between $105,000 to $115,000. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, your location, and your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications. During the phone screening, the recruiter will provide the location-specific salary range for this role.
