Compensation and Benefits Manager

The Opportunity:
The Compensation and Benefits manager will be responsible for administration of benefits and overall compensation philosophy for the organization. The compensation manager plans, develops and implements new and revised compensation programs, policies and procedures to align with the company's goals and competitive practices. The Compensation and Benefits manager is responsible for administration and negotiation of benefits on a yearly basis as well as ensuring the organization is offering best-in-class benefit offerings to employees. This position is also responsible for ensuring that company compensation and benefits programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee collection and analysis of compensation data to determine the compensation philosophy for the organization's comp programs or benefit offerings.
- Manage and administer annual compensation and benefits processes, including annual market pricing exercises, bonus plan administration, and benefits open enrollment.
- Oversee RFP process and negotiate with benefit vendors to help reduce costs and ensure compelling benefits portfolio.
- Manage and structure the commission and bonus programs for employees.
- Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommends changes that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives.
- Manage the open enrollment process as well as providing assistance to new hires.
- Process and administer all Leaves of Absence as well as creating the policies for the same.
- Respond to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts and support general plan administration.
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations for benefits and compensation.
Skillset:
- Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation and benefits.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Education and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, human resources or related field and 5+ years of experience in employee compensation and benefits.
- Experience in a commission-based sales environment preferred
- Knowledge of laws and regulations as they apply to base compensation and incentive compensation programs, company policies and operations.
