The Global People Team is made up of people professionals with a diverse range of expertise, including talent, people relations, performance achievement, and systems and analytics, amongst others. About the Role: 

We are seeking a Global Compensation Manager to join our team at AlphaSense, based in New York City, or remotely in the United States (Eastern time zone). In this role, you will be responsible for managing and implementing our global compensation strategy and programs across all locations to ensure AlphaSense remains a competitive employer in all markets of operation.  This role will work closely with leaders across all business functions and geographies, in particular, those from the Finance and within the people team to support a unified and comprehensive compensation strategy. 

Who You Are:
  • You will have 5+ years of experience in global compensation (India and EU); experience working for pre-IPO and/or publicly traded companies preferred
  • Strong understanding of global compensation principles and practices, including market analysis and salary structures
  • Strong communicator with the ability to drive organizational change through partnership with employees at all levels of the organization. 
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems (we use Workday)  and Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
  • You have experience working in a global hyper-growth environment, preferably scaling compensation in a rapidly changing environment
  • You are an expert in using employee feedback to guide incentive offerings
  • You are obsessed with data and applying insights to create sustainable, scalable policies that drive retention and engagement
  • You are a skilled storyteller, with the ability to turn quantitative data into a qualitative tale 
  • You are a DEI champion with demonstrated success creating and implementing strategy, specifically related to compensation 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Own and administer AlphaSense’s equity and bonus plans. 
  • Assess and own our current compensation framework, including policies, procedures, and programs and collaborate with people leadership to formulate our overall compensation strategy 
  • Conduct market research and analyze data to determine competitive pay rates and make recommendations for salary, incentive compensation and benefit adjustments for all locations
  • Manage the annual compensation review process, including preparing reports and communicating decisions to employees and management across all locations
  • Collaborate with the global People team and leadership to develop and implement equity and incentive plans for all locations
  • Provide guidance and support to the People team and management on all compensation-related matters for all locations, including guidance on compensation in new markets and/or locations. 
  • Maintain and update our global compensation data and systems, including job descriptions and salary ranges
  • Partner and participate with external market data providers like Radford to establish a job architecture that is based on job duties, competencies, and levels and scalable over time. 
  • Implement policies and procedures to ensure equitable and competitive employee compensation
  • Stay current with federal, state, and regional legislation changes (FLSA, minimum wage, Pay Transparency, etc…)
  • Ensures programs are current with regard to trends, practices and costs. 
  • Ensure compliance with executive compensation, deferred compensation, and other regulatory reporting requirements.

Base Compensation Range*:  $115,000 - $147,000 

Additional Components: You may also be offered a performance-based bonus, equity, and a generous benefits program.

*For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function, level and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
