Forbes seeks a Compensation Manager to join our HR team. This individual will report to the Vice President, Compensation and partner closely with Human Resources, Management, Finance and Legal to administer our compensation programs. This is a highly visible role that will work across the organization and through all levels of the executive team. We’re looking for an experienced compensation professional who can administer the strategy, communications, and compliance of compensation programs, policies, and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the design, implementation, administration, maintenance, and reporting of compensation programs and initiatives
- A subject matter expert who will execute practices for fair and equitable pay, assist in the administration of incentive and bonus compensation and suggest ways to optimize the compensation systems and processes
- Oversee the compensation survey submission process
- Benchmark our compensation across our peer-set to elevate our understanding of our compensation competitiveness and evolve it over time to meet the changing landscape
- Complete market analysis and job profile insights for new and existing roles
- Provide compensation consulting to human resources and managers
- Work closely with our human resource and management team to build competitive and equitable compensation offers
- Lead the midyear and year-end compensation planning process for merit increases, adjustments and promotions
- Prepare compensation communication materials and process changes
- Partner closely with our Payroll, Finance, Benefits & HRIS team
- Monitor current, potential and new compensation legislation and when applicable advise HR and managers on labor requirements; analyze impact, consult on and process changes
- Create requested compensation reports
- Assist or lead compensation projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years’ experience in Compensation or related experience
- Demonstrated ability of working through change by being a hands-on, forward-thinking partner.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including HR business partners, recruiters, payroll, legal teams and business managers
- Deep analytical skills with the ability to translate data and trends into key insights and recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong influencer with a collaborative approach
- Proven track record of prioritizing and driving to success multiple projectsÂ
