Compliance Analyst - Testing

About The Role

As a next generation financial services company, Beyond Finance helps consumers save money, get control of their finances, and borrow responsibly.  Beyond’s Compliance Department supports these objectives by monitoring for compliance with applicable state and federal laws. As a Compliance Testing Analyst, you are a key player in our team’s mission to provide actionable intelligence to business stakeholders so that together we can (1) support consumers' understanding of our products and services, and (2) achieve strategic business priorities, within the highly regulated consumer finance industry. In this role, you will conduct testing and monitoring of the Company’s compliance with consumer financial laws and regulations, industry guidelines, and policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

At a high level, a Compliance Analyst at Beyond supports the Testing and Monitoring Program within the Compliance Management System (“CMS”).  The ideal candidates will have an understanding of both the regulation/law or guideline that is the subject of the test as well as the applicable business function(s) being tested.  On a day-to-day basis, this involves:

• Supporting the ongoing administration of the Compliance Monitoring and Testing Program;
• Performing testing and quality assurance monitoring for compliance with laws, regulations, industry guidelines, and Company policies/procedures;
• Participating in the planning, executing, and reporting of Compliance Testing reviews and compliance and regulatory issue validation activities;
• Preparing analysis of the monitoring and testing results, preparing draft reports, and making recommendations to remediate and control for findings;
• Maintaining knowledge of applicable consumer financial services, debt resolution, and lending rules and regulations; and
• Performing additional compliance analyst responsibilities as needed.

Required Education and Experience:

• 1-3 years of relevant consumer financial services compliance or internal audit experience
• Experience with consumer finance laws and regulations in areas of lending and/or debt settlement, including knowledge of one or more of the following regulations: TCPA, TSR, ESIGN, FCRA, ECOA, FACTA/RedFlags, BSA/AML, KYC/CIP, OFAC, MLA/SCRA, TILA, etc.

• Experience with Google office platform, Microsoft Office suite (including Word, Powerpoint and Excel)
