Compliance Manager

Role Overview
The Compliance Manager is responsible for managing MediaAlpha’s compliance with all Medicare marketing regulations and related programs. The position will manage program requirements such as Health Plan Management System (HPMS) submissions and audits.
The Compliance Manager will work collaboratively with MediaAlpha’s internal business teams and publisher partners to ensure compliance with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) rules, regulations, manuals and transmittals pertaining to the advertising and marketing of Medicare Advantage and Part D programs, as well as Medicare carrier marketing guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) compliance contact and the person primarily responsible for managing MediaAlpha’s compliance with Medicare marketing regulations and communicating with CMS and partners regarding such compliance requirements.
- Oversee and monitor all aspects of the Company’s Medicare marketing compliance program, including:
- Work with MediaAlpha’s legal and business teams and carrier partners to develop, maintain and communicate compliance guidelines for Medicare marketing materials.
- Review marketing materials created by MediaAlpha’s internal business teams and publisher partners to ensure compliance with CMS regulations and carrier requirements.
- Manage submissions of marketing materials to carriers for approval, review and negotiate carrier comments and requested changes.
- Work with MediaAlpha’s business and development teams and publisher partners to revise materials to address carrier comments.
- Manage submissions of approved marketing materials to HPMS and track opt-ins by carriers.
- Develop rapport and facilitate cooperation among MediaAlpha, carriers and publisher partners.
Qualifications
- Must possess excellent project management and organizational skills and have worked for at least two years in a position involving these skills.
- Must possess strong logical and critical thinking skills, and strong attention to detail.
- Must be solutions-oriented, and able to work independently, collaboratively and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to evaluate and analyze regulations and apply and interpret such regulations in relation to marketing materials.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills, as well as effective oral and written communication skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Sharepoint.
- Experience in a private and/or public sector regulatory agency compliance position is preferred.
- Knowledge of CMS and Health Care Compliance Certification is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration or other related field preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
