Compliance & Messaging Operations Manager

As Compliance & Messaging Operations Manager, you will operate as the face and central subject matter expert of compliance and messaging at Postscript. In this role, you will manage communication with GTM teams and partner with legal, product and engineering to improve compliance and messaging operational processes, manage risk, and raise the bar on compliance across the organization. This role will also provide opportunities to consult on product development and contribute to compliance policies and frameworks.

As an early member of the team, you will be key in driving success across all functions and establishing Postscript as the compliance leader in the SMS marketing space for ecommerce. You will report directly to the Senior Manager, Compliance Operations & Messaging Strategy.

Primary Duties

• Act as the go-to person for all things messaging compliance related, including legal (TCPA and state-specific regulations) and industry best practices (Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association)
• Oversee a team of Compliance Specialists and maintain a supportive team culture that fosters growth and development 
• Oversee messaging compliance audits and establish best compliance practices to operationalize recurring audits
• Oversee and improve various compliance messaging operational processes
• Manage relationships with key external partners and stakeholders driving messaging compliance
• Assist customers with messaging compliance related concerns and issues while building supporting frameworks
• Work closely with product teams in the development of new messaging products 

What We'll Love About You

• 3+ years of experience in compliance, regulatory, internal audit, or legal, or 2+ years of experience in the telecommunications industry heavily involved in messaging compliance 
• Experience working in a start-up or hypergrowth technology company
• Experience with TCPA compliance or the telecommunications industry (CTIA or CWTA) is a strong plus; or experience in a similarly regulated industry (e.g. industries regulated by the OCC or CFPB)
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally to improve processes
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organization and project management skills
• Demonstrated experience coaching and mentoring highly preferred
• Strong process-orientation and ability to drive a consistent and repeatable experience 
• Strong analytical skills (advanced Excel/GSheets knowledge), with a data-driven, metrics-oriented mindset
• Nice to have: Familiarity with the following messaging operations: international number provisioning, dedicated short code applications and provisioning, toll-free number verifications, carrier audit investigations and resolutions, and toll-free and short code number transfers between providers
