Content Developer

SonicWall is seeking a Content Developer for our Sales Training & Enablement team. In this role, you will be responsible for creative content, competitive intelligence, and project management of work assignments in the world of Network Security. This position will require frequent team and individual meetings, originating and assisting with sales training and development, making recommendations to further enhance the effectiveness of the training, process, and deliverables. Collaboration with business leaders and key stakeholders while embracing an entrepreneurial mindset is a must.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with instructional designers to design and develop sales and technical product training curriculum and content that may use a variety of delivery methods including instructor-led courses, virtual, web-based, or other learning solutions
• Ensures that training courses address all levels of customers in the use of company products/services
• Designs course outlines, gathering supporting technical documentation and developing course workbooks, presentations, and trainer notes
• Complete knowledge and full understanding of area of specialization, principles, and practices within a professional discipline
• Assesses unusual circumstances and uses sophisticated analytical and problem-solving techniques to identify cause
• Resolves and assesses a wide range of issues in creative ways and suggests variations in approach
• Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of information requires evaluation of identifiable factors
• Devises solutions based on limited information and precedent and adapts existing approaches to resolve issues
• Uses evaluation, judgment, and interpretation to select right course of action
• Work is done independently and is reviewed at critical points
• Create, edit, perform QA checks/review, or update training content and course assessments
• Independently manage assigned project deadlines and deliverables
• Enhances relationships and networks with senior internal/external partners who are not familiar with the subject matter often requiring persuasion
• Adapts style to differing audiences and often advises others on difficult matters
• Organize course material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
• Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned to maintain, review, or update content (such as but not limited to attending product training webinars, new product introductions, keeping up with SonicWall new product development, learning complex technologies, updating content development standards and templates, etc.)

Requirements:
• Ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or Journalism, or related field with at least 3 years of relevant work experience
• Knowledge of basic content scoping, researching, and structuring strategies
• Proficient with standard training development software such as Articulate Storyline (Must-Have), PowerPoint, Camtasia, Visio, SnagIt, Photoshop, etc.
• Fast learner with the ability to handle ambiguity, uncertainty and effectively multitask, prioritize, and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility and adaptability to work with global and dispersed teams in different time zones
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail, along with great interpersonal skills
• Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to drive tasks to completion on time, within scope, cost, and quality
• Innovative, Self-Starter, Problem-Solver, and efficiency focused
Education and Experience:
At least 3 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent work experience preferred

Preferences:
Ideal candidate would have basic networking experience
Ideal candidate would be located in United States West Coast time zone.
