Job Description

At Jungle Scout, we are on a mission to empower entrepreneurs and brands to grow successful e-commerce businesses, and we provide the industry-leading data, powerful tools, and resources they need.

Are you a skilled storyteller and editor who thrives off of identifying and applying strategies to make words tell compelling stories, illustrate complex concepts, and motivate readers to take action?

Do you have a comprehensive understanding of the marketing funnel and the critical roles SEO and subject matter expertise play in an effective content marketing strategy?

Have you managed a team of content creators, sharing your own skills and experiences to improve the quality and effectiveness of their content while motivating and supporting your team?

Yes? Then it sounds like you could be a great addition to our team!

We’re growing, and we’re looking to add a Content Manager to our Marketing team. We are hiring this person anywhere between the ET - PT time zones.

This is your opportunity to be an instrumental leader within the marketing team, helping to grow our small- to medium-sized business line, which has helped over 600,000 people and businesses sell on Amazon and other ecommerce marketplaces.

In this role, you’ll lead organic content strategy, manage a team of writers, edit and create compelling content, and work closely with the marketing, web, and design teams to produce and optimize content that drives awareness, traffic, and leads for Jungle Scout.

You will report to the Senior Director of Marketing, Brand & Demand Generation, and be responsible for developing strategies to drive organic traffic and provide incredible narrative experiences for our audiences.

Interested in learning more? Let’s get into the details:

What you will be doing:

  • Managing a team of content creators, providing guidance and support while ensuring delivery of quality content, including long-form articles and guides, data-driven reports, copy, and more
  • Editing content, giving structural, narrative, style and tone, and other feedback to ensure all content provides a positive, effective, and on-brand experience that informs, entertains, and motivates the reader
  • Leading organic content strategy, leveraging SEO best practices including keyword and opportunity analysis, on-page optimization, link-building, performance monitoring, and more
  • Aligning content strategy with business objectives and key stakeholders; establishing an editorial calendar based on search demand, product marketing priorities, trending topics, and other opportunities; and analyzing content performance and identifying ways to improve metrics

Who you are:

  • An editor and writer! Your editing goes beyond proofreading (though copyediting is super important!), and you know how to write and optimize content for various audiences, media, and objectives. You share your knowledge to uplevel your team’s writing and deliver excellent content in a timely manner.
  • A motivating leader. You’ve managed a team, established goals and strategies to achieve them, and worked with team members to improve their craft and be positive contributors.
  • Detail-oriented and driven by metrics. You are organized, and you have a methodical approach to planning content that helps achieve ambitious goals.
  • A quick learner. Prior knowledge about the ecommerce space, selling on Amazon, and/or enterprise technology are bonuses, but the ability to gain subject matter expertise on a new and evolving field is essential.
