Contract: Paralegal

This is an engagement through Upwork's Hybrid Workforce Solutions (HWS) Team. Our Hybrid Workforce Solutions Team is a global group of professionals that support Upwork's business. Our HWS team members are located all over the world.
Work/Project Scope:
We are looking for a paralegal and flexible multi-skill professional who can:

• Help advance a new, complex, document intensive, impact-driven initiative intended to support Upwork's payment capabilities
• Implement google suite and other similar tools and systems to keep projects and the team organized and on track
• Possess substantial poise and emotional intelligence in interfacing with a wide range of internal and external partners and stakeholders, including government agencies
• Take on additional project components and miscellaneous tasks as needed

The successful candidate will likely have hands-on experience in a legal environment (e.g., law firm, in-house legal department or compliance department) working as a litigation paralegal or compliance association. The person will be very detail-oriented, an excellent written and oral communicator, an expert project manager, able to see the big and small pictures, highly efficient and responsive in a fast-paced environment, all while maintaining excellent relationships. A go-getter with a keen sense of judgment and strong organizational skills would excel in this role.

• Excellent legal research, analytical and writing skills
• Proficient with Google Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides)
• The willingness and ability to perform at a consistently high level on both mundane and gratifying projects
