Contract: Senior Product Designer, Enterprise Growth

Upwork is looking for a Senior Product Designer who is enthusiastic about solving complex problems with the user at heart. As a Senior Designer on our team, you’ll partner with a cross-functional squad to drive product-led growth for one of our company’s top strategic pillars—Enterprise. 

Working with our cross-functional team, you’ll define mental models and uncover ways to use the connections and interdependencies across our product to create flexible and powerful user experiences. You will own the work from framing & design thinking, through visual design and implementation. By constantly focusing on the user, you’ll design solutions that are not only amazing to look at, but also intuitive and useful to people all over the world. This role requires curiosity, critical thinking, an ability to think abstractly, and a thoughtful approach to problem solving.

Work/Project Scope: 

• Own and focus on complex projects that may require concept definition and strategic design thinking
• Proactively collaborate with UX researchers, product managers, data scientists, developers, and other designers to frame problems and take ideas from ideation through implementation
• Demonstrate high-quality design practices through all phases of product design including: research & discovery, facilitation, strategy, ideation, interaction design, visual execution, launch, and testing
• Make design decisions based on data and user insights
• Build a variety of design artifacts to communicate your concepts and share your work regularly to engage partners for feedback
• Work closely with developers and stakeholder teams to deliver a polished final product you’re proud of
• Serve as a strong ambassador for the design team, particularly when our perspective is crucial to customer success.

Must Haves (Required Skills): 

• 6+ years leading the design of high-impact, successfully launched digital experiences across multiple channels and operating systems.
• Attention to detail is your superpower
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent experience required
• Strong presentation and influencing skills
• Interest in working with a low-ego, highly collaborative, cross-functional team
• Experience with accessibility, localization, and internationalization
• Expertise with Figma and other prototyping tools
• An online portfolio of professional work is required
• Proven ability to define UX frameworks and drive user journeys that result in improved conversion and engagement
• Experience with A/B testing methodologies and optimization strategies
• Experience on a growth team
• Nice to Have's (not a strict requirement)
