We’re a remote-first company with team members located across the United States spanning multiple time zones. This means we put in extra effort to make sure we connect and collaborate in ways that make sense for us. We know how valuable the flexibility of remote work is for our employees so people can get the work done in the way that suits them best. After all, many parents call Babylist their professional home, and sometimes, you just have to jump off that Zoom meeting to clean up that banana that’s getting stomped on by your 2 year old.
We know that personal connection is the foundation for the great work we do together. In order to quickly build those relationships, we offer the opportunity to meet with coworkers in person two times a year at a full company offsite and a departmental offsite. These are great opportunities to meet the people you work with every day and to do some of the work that is much more difficult to do virtually. Most of our roles are fully remote, but these opportunities to meet in person will involve limited amounts of travel. For some leaders, there might be more opportunities to get together in person that would require about 10% travel to Oakland, CA or elsewhere.
What the Role Is
As a Contract Technical Talent Acquisition Sourcer, you will help build the foundation of our Technical Recruiting strategies to target, identify and engage both passive and active technical talent. The function will play a pivotal role in hiring a diverse group of technical talent across our Engineering, Product, and Analytics teams at a substantial growth phase. It will be your responsibility to create a pipeline of technical talent through various sourcing avenues, in order to deliver best-in-class talent. We expect this contract to last 6-9 months, with the potential to become permanent.
Who You Are
- You have 1+ years of technical sourcing experience
- You are proficient with 2 Proficiency with 2 or more sourcing tools, including LinkedIn Recruiter, Hiretual, Entelo, Hired, StackOverflow, etc.Â
- You have experience with sourcing from diverse communities of candidates
- You have superior boolean searching skillsÂ
- You are resilient and creative detective that finds deep satisfaction in delivering results and discovering hard-to-hire and diverse technical talent
- You are a true partner to your teammates that balances the tactics and strategies that have made you notably successful in the past with a learning agility that drives you to experiment with new ideas
- You are an exceptional communicator that’s impassioned by striking the right tone with compelling and engaging content that passive technical talent resonates withÂ
- You are a human that recognizes within yourself commonalities in those around you, helping you communicate in an empathetic, human way
How You Will Make an Impact
- Partner with the Technical Talent Acquisition Team Lead and Sr. Technical Talent Acquisition Partner to build quality candidate funnels with an emphasis on historically marginalized talent.
- Quickly become the subject matter expert for creative and effective ways to connect passive talent to the incredibly meaningful mission at Babylist to support expecting parents in getting exactly what they need for the arrival of their new baby.
- Measurably impact sourcing and hiring efficiency with a metrics-driven approach to response rates, funnel conversion, and ultimately, bringing candidates into the funnel that receive and accept job offers.
