Job Description

Who We Are:

Hightouch believes in a future where everyone can take action on their Data. Hightouch was founded on the notion that every business team—sales, marketing, support, success—needs (no, deserves!) access to relevant, accurate, and real-time customer data. With Hightouch, every business unit can access the same customer data in real-time to streamline critical processes, improve marketing performance, and scale operations. Data teams love Hightouch because of the developer-friendly tooling that allows them to control, monitor, and debug workflows all in one place.

We are a quickly expanding team and believe in diverse backgrounds. We care less about "years of experience" and more about the impact you are able to make. We value high-trust, low ego, and tons of ownership. You get to control your destiny and shape your future at Hightouch. We’re driven by the delight of our customers and know that our best work comes when we take care of each other and encourage each other to do our best work together.

Hightouch is based in San Francisco, is remote-friendly, and backed by leading investors such as Amplify Partners, ICONIQ Growth, Bain Capital Ventures, Y-Combinator, and Afore Capital.

About The Role

Hightouch is looking for a Controller to help build our financial systems, processes, and team on our path to being a public company. You’ll work closely across all of Hightouch’s teams, and report directly to our VP of Finance & Data. If you’re looking for a role where you can use your accounting skills to be a true partner to a growing software business, this is what you’ve been waiting for.

How you’ll spend your time
  • Create a timely monthly close process, keeping our executive team and board up-to-date on our financial performance
  • Maintain GAAP standards and tax compliance as we approach our first audit
  • Prioritize the scalability and efficiency of the accounting function to ensure that our financial operations never slow down the pace of our business
  • Own the evaluation and operation of financial systems, including NetSuite and other software tooling of your choice (would love for you to have opinions about your favorite tools!)
  • Until we hire a full-time Payroll specialist, ensure timely and accurate payroll
  • Contribute at a company-level in creation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of financial processes and controls
About YouMust haves
  • Diverse set of stakeholders: you seek to understand your collaborators’ viewpoints and challenges and can partner across the business to build scalable and auditable processes
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP, including experience with ASC606
  • Capacity to run payroll until we hire a full-time person
  • Bonus point: you’ve been part of a NetSuite deployment / implementation process
Who you are
  • You hold a Bachelor’s in Accounting and started your career in accounting/or audit. You’ve had at least five years of full-time work experience in the field
  • You hold an active CPA license
  • You thrive in an environment where you know you’re needed and your time is valuable. You’re able to ruthlessly prioritize and drive continuous improvement on your team
  • Bonus: you have previous SaaS company accounting experience at a Accounting Manager level role or higher
Benefits Of Working At Hightouch:

  • Voluntary insurance: short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance
  • 401(k) plan
  • Company-wide virtual yoga classes

Time Off

  • Take as much vacation as you like! We recommend taking at least 4-weeks
  • 12 additional company holidays
  • We provide 12 weeks of paid parental leave for all new parents and 4 additional weeks for birthing parents

Investing in Your Growth

  • Support in professional development
