Team: General

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Remote Corporate Counsel. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by drafting, negotiating, and reviewing contracts that are crucial to our partner's operations. Your legal expertise will guide internal teams in contract interpretation and legal risk management. This position supports strategic partnerships and corporate investments while ensuring compliance with key regulatory frameworks. Accountabilities

  • Review, draft and negotiate a wide array of complex commercial contracts, including vendor and service agreements.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on contract terms, legal risks, and their practical implications.
  • Lead negotiations and provide legal counsel on strategic partnerships and corporate investment transactions.
  • Collaborate with product teams for legal guidance throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Provide counsel on corporate governance, insurance matters, and compliance with regulations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to cross-functional teams, meeting their legal needs.
  • Conduct legal research and assist in managing commercial disputes as needed.
  • Support day-to-day legal operations and strategic initiatives.

    • Requirements

  • ABA accredited JD Degree and active state bar membership required.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in contract drafting and negotiation.
  • Ability to assess legal and business issues promptly and accurately.
  • Familiarity with privacy laws and credit union regulations preferred.
  • Experience handling contract disputes and familiarity with litigation processes preferred.
  • Background in a corporate legal setting is a plus.
  • Experience in technology or financial services sectors preferred.
