WP Engine is seeking a Corporate Development & Strategic Partnerships Manager to join our dynamic Corporate Development team! In this role, you'll gain experience working on both M&A and strategic partnerships. You will work collaboratively with functions across the company to evaluate potential build / buy / partner opportunities to advance our product roadmap and unlock new areas of growth.

As part of the Corporate Development team, you will play a key role in identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships and acquisitions. In this role, you will collaborate with a wide range of departments to execute partnerships and M&A-related initiatives and, in the process, build a holistic understanding of the various facets of our company. Our executive leadership team will use your work to help make critical decisions for the company and will directly impact the company's strategic growth plan.
The day-to-day
Your day will vary widely based on the initiatives our team supports. We lead both Corporate Development and Strategic Partnerships initiatives for WP Engine.
Strategic Partnerships:

• Evaluate new integrated partnerships and build the business case including strategic and product fit, integration requirements, go to market plan and forecasted financial impact.
• Work closely with product and engineering to identify gaps in the product roadmap that can be best addressed through integrated technology partnerships.
• Negotiate the economics of reseller, referral and revenue share partnership agreements.
• Manage ongoing partnerships and serve as the key point of contact between the strategic partner and WP Engine.
• Maintain a technical understanding of our products and how partners work with our platform.

Corporate Development:

• Identify and source potential acquisition targets that align with company strategy and product roadmap.
• Help manage and lead the M&A deal process including due diligence, financial analysis, valuation, transaction structuring, deal team management, and presentation preparation.
• Assist in post-acquisition integration planning and execution.
• Assist in creating materials for the company's board, leadership and investors.
• Conduct market research, synthesize findings, and work with senior team members to propose recommendations that shape company and product strategy.

Your expertise and passion

• 4 - 8 years of experience in corporate development, strategic partnerships, investment banking, management consulting and / or private equity / venture capital.
• Experience in SaaS and software technology industries is a plus.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving skills along with experience in building financial models.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and highly comfortable communicating with executive leadership.
• Proven project management skills with ability to manage complex projects and work streams working across different teams.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining high attention to detail.
• You're comfortable translating technical things to non-technical people and helping technical people understand business and non-technical concerns.

Base Salary Range
$92,000.00 - $138,000.00
We believe that compensation should be reflective of the impact you have within the organization relative to the market value of your role. The estimated base salary range for this position is as listed above. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Our salary ranges are determined by job role and responsibilities and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for salaries for the position nationwide. The actual base pay will vary based on various factors including job-related skills and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
